Training

Advice Forward Training Centre is managed by Hull and East Riding Citizens Advice Bureau; we have over 75 years' experience of delivering legal advice training to staff and volunteers. We are able to share our knowledge and expertise with our range of accredited and non-accredited qualifications. Our accredited qualifications are awarded by Skills for Justice Awards.

We can deliver a range taught legal advice qualifications to partner organisations to train new volunteers and staff, also they can be used as development by sharing best practice.

Taught Legal Advice Qualifications

Adviser Training

  • 15 days taught sessions
  • Observation within the workplace
  • Creation of portfolio

– suitable for individuals that explore clients legal advice issues, research and explain the different options available to the client, take action on behalf of the client e.g. make phone calls, write letters or empower the client to act for themselves.

Assessor Training

  • 5 days taught sessions
  • Observation within the workplace
  • Creation of portfolio

- suitable for individuals that first meet clients to initially 'triage' or assess their legal advice needs e.g. is the clients need an emergency, can your agency assist with this advice need? before making an appointment within your agency or signposting/referring to another agency.

We can also offer non-accredited training in the above and skills workshops for, contact us to find out more information and discuss your requirements.

Our training expertise is not just limited to Legal Advice

We have been delivering Financial Capability training for many years, we are developing a range of accredited qualifications. We are also able to create and deliver training in many different areas and have a range of flexible solutions, contact us for further details.

We are also able to offer the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Legal Advice Provision and the Level 3 Certificate in Providing Initial Legal Information and Advice as individual accredited qualifications, to enhance related Apprenticeships or in line with the requirements of the Intermediate and Advanced Level Apprenticeships in Legal Advice.
