Hull Advice is a service provided by Hull City Council. It provides free impartial advice for Hull residents on a whole range of issues including benefits, debt, housing, family, community care and employment. Hull Advice will work on behalf of the customer, even if the customer has a dispute with the Council.

Hull Advice provides services through either a drop-in service or by appointment. There is also a specialist welfare rights team who will help people who help people with complex benefit issues, which includes representing people at benefit appeal hearings.

All of the advice given is free of charge, independent and confidential.

 

 

Who can access the services?

 

Hull Advice is available to all Hull residents. No appointment is necessary, but appointments can be made to see an advisor by calling in to the Wilson Centre or by phoning 01482 300 303.

 

How can the services be accessed?

Hull Advice opening times are:

Monday 9am to 4.30pm

Tuesday Appointment only

Wednesday 10.30am to 4.30pm

Thursday Appointment only

Friday 9am to 4.00pm

 

The public can call in and get advice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and be seen the same day. There are times when the service is busy and there may be a wait for you to get the advice you need. The service stops registering new drop in customers 4pm so please arrive before this time.

On days when the waiting times are expected to extend beyond 4.30 pm we may stop registering customers earlier. Remember, appointments can also be booked with Hull Advice.
